GETTING THERE - TRAVEL INFORMATION

South Africans are friendly and very welcoming to visitors. Whether it’s thanks to our sunny skies or our beautiful surroundings, we understand that life is good. And our wines add joy to living.

So, throughout the week of Cape Wine, WOSA and the wineries will organise special visits, tours and functions, starting with a VIP Opening Event welcoming you on the Monday night (14 September).

September also happens to be a great time to visit South Africa. Celebrate spring in our beautiful winelands, take the cable car up Table Mountain (now recognised as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature), marvel at the meeting of two mighty oceans at Cape Point, sunbathe on famous Clifton beach, go on safari ... there is so much to be enjoyed once business is done.

Cape Town is South Africa’s second largest city and the capital of the Western Cape province, with an estimated population of 3.82 million (2011). The Mother City, as it is affectionately known, occupies one of the world's most stunning locations, with an iconic mountain right in its center.  To find out more about what Cape Town has to offer and information on the South African wine routes you can visit:
